Introduction:

Dan has over 26 years’ experience in engineering, with 17 of those years’ experience in multidisciplinary rail projects including civil, structures, track, electrical, rollingstock, signalling, communications, and rail operations

With Dan’s experience, he has gained expertise in areas such as Program, Engineering and delivery management of multidisciplinary mining and passenger rail projects during study, planning and delivery stages, Rail operations and rail systems design and construction including CBTC, ETCS, PTC, ATO and in-cab signalling systems and associated rail infrastructure, Safety critical rail systems safety and RAM assessment including hazard analysis, safety argument and safety case preparation and acceptance, Systems and Software Development Lifecycle delivery management including V-cycle, waterfall, Agile methods, earned value delivery management, IEEE, CENELEC, AS4292 and Yellow Book / iESM System Safety Management, verification and validation of work products, systems, hardware and software.

Dan’s also gained experience in Formal test case and procedure development and verification against design, and also Project Management standards and guidelines including, AIPM and PMBOK framework.
